Neighbors living or working on 72nd Street, adjacent to the development, wonder what their street will look and feel like once the development is completed. Already, to accommodate access to the development's parking facility, two of the 8 houses on the block have been razed.
The existing R6 zoning (circled area) allows the construction of buildings of similar bulk to the Roosevelt Parc.
Transit oriented development would identify this area as appropriate for development.
Integrating into neighborhood
With a subway entrance one block away, it would be easy for residents to avoid the neighborhood. Efforts should be undertaken to integrate Roosevelt Parc residents into the neighborhood, starting with Diversity Plaza and Friends of Diversity Plaza. Thomas Lowenhaupt 20:42, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
