Our 3 City Council Districts
Jackson Heights' residents are spread over 3 city council districts and have 3 members representing its interests in the city council:
- City Council District 21 - Francisco Moya currently represents the 21st Council District, encompassing East Elmhurst, Corona, Lefrak City, and portions of Jackson Heights on its southern and eastern borders. Prior to his 2017 election to the Council, Moya was elected to the 39th Assembly District in 2010, earning him the honor of being the first Ecuadorian-American elected to public office in the United States.
- City Council District 22 - Costa Constantinides represents the New York City Council’s 22nd District, which includes his native Astoria along with parts of Jackson Heights, Woodside, and East Elmhurst. His district includes that portion of Jackson Heights north of 31st Avenue and west of 92nd Street.
- City Council District 25 - Danny Dromm "Danny" has been a progressive leader in Queens for over 20 years. He was first elected to the New York City Council in 2009 and represents Council District 25 which contains the majority of Jackson Heights' residents. Danny is Chairperson of the Council's Finance Committee. He is a member of the Democratic party and founder of the New Visions Democratic Club. He resides in Jackson Heights.
